JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Physician – Anesthesiology.
• Job Type: Locum Tenens.
• Location: San Francisco, CA.
• Service Setting: Inpatient | Hospital Operating Room.
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only.
• Coverage Period: 07/21/2025 – 26 weeks (potential to extend).
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x8 shifts, start at 7 AM (8 AM start on Wednesdays).

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adults and adolescents (13 years and older).
• Patient Volume/Census: TBD.
• Case Mix: All types of surgical cases.

FACILITY INFORMATION

• EMR System: Epic.
• Specialty Backup Available: CRNA support available.
• Support Staff Available: CRNAs.
• Reason for Coverage: Full-time coverage need.

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes.
• Credentialing Timeline: 60–90 days.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Rate: TBD.
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance.

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• General anesthesiology procedures.
• Regional anesthesia skills preferred but not required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active California medical license required.
• Certifications: Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Anesthesiology, DEA with CA Schedule 2/2N, BLS, ACLS (AHA required).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of anesthesiology experience required.
• Other Qualifications: Must provide 2 references; must be available for interview process (1–2 interviews).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide anesthesiology services in hospital operating rooms.
• Collaborate with CRNAs and surgical staff to ensure patient safety.
• Perform general and, if capable, regional anesthesia procedures.
• Complete documentation in Epic EMR.
• Deliver care to adult and adolescent patients during surgical procedures.
