Job Description

Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

  • We prefer candidates with an Associates or Bachelor’s degree focused on healthcare, business, or information systems. You should possess the ability to present complex data in meaningful ways, such as charts and graphs. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to and implement change, demonstrate problem-solving skills, and multitask effectively while working as a team member. Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential. Excellent customer service skills are necessary, along with highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills that foster optimal teamwork and education. Strong organizational skills in managing multiple priorities are also important.
  • Experience-wise, we are looking for someone with over 5 years in healthcare, business, or information systems. You should require minimal instruction for day-to-day work and general direction for more complex tasks and projects. The ability to develop new functionality for requests with little to no guidance and lead multidisciplinary teams throughout projects is crucial. Experience as a mentor or knowledge resource to peers is desirable. You should be comfortable working in a team setting, sharing information, and assisting junior team members. Detailed healthcare knowledge and systems expertise, along with excellent project management and communication skills (both verbal and written), are required.
  • Licenses, registrations, or certifications in the area of focus are preferred. For Epic Analysts, you should be certified or proficient in the assigned Epic module (this must be obtained within 6 months of your employment date), and certifications must stay current by maintaining new version training.
Responsibilities:
  • As the Application System Analyst Senior, I will serve as a liaison between our system end-users, operational leaders, support resources, and vendors to design, build, and optimize applications in a timely and high-quality manner. I will provide application support and optimization, working closely with the Service Desk to respond to service requests. My role will involve analyzing business issues, requirements, and workflows to apply application knowledge that meets operational and organizational needs.
  • I will be responsible for analyzing, developing, testing, documenting, educating, implementing, supporting, and maintaining or optimizing assigned applications and business processes. This includes leading quality assurance and testing initiatives and managing testing projects as necessary. I will tackle new problems using creative problem-solving skills and apply an advanced level of understanding of assigned clinical and business operations. Additionally, I will lead and evaluate process and requirements analysis, maintain collaborative customer relationships, and ensure customer needs are fully represented in project updates.
  • I will contribute to strategy discussions by identifying options with their pros and cons, demonstrate superior judgment, and adhere to organizational standards for system configuration and change control. It’s crucial that I understand the complex requirements of end users and project goals and can propose technical solutions accordingly. I will collaborate with operational leaders to create efficient and optimal workflow processes and will coordinate code changes with vendors regarding financial and business application issues.
  • I will also share industry best practices with operational leaders, continuously grow my technical knowledge of the assigned applications, and serve as a liaison between business operations, internal teams, and vendors. Following strict change management processes is essential, as is delivering quality work that exceeds project management expectations and managing medium to large scale and complex projects independently.

It’s my goal to proactively identify opportunities and plan projects within my application responsibilities, while also performing other duties as assigned.
