Job Description

Experience:
  • 5–7+ years of progressively responsible diesel/heavy truck repair experience in a dealership or fleet setting.
  • Proven ability to perform complex diagnostics, troubleshooting, and major repairs (engines, transmissions, aftertreatment systems, electrical, hydraulics).
  • Experience with medium and heavy-duty OEMs (Kenworth, Isuzu, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Mack, Volvo, International, etc.).
  • Strong background in using diagnostic software (e.g., Cummins Insite, Navistar Diamond Logic, Detroit Diesel DiagnosticLink, Isuzu IDSS, PACCAR ESA ).
  • Prior mentoring or leadership of lower-level technicians is a plus.
Certifications / Training:
  • OEM certifications (Kenworth, Isuzu, Cummins, PACCAR, Allison, Eaton, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • ASE Medium-Heavy Truck certifications (T-Series) — preferred
  • DOT Inspector Certification
  • EPA Section 609 certification for A/C service.
  • Safety training (OSHA, forklift, lockout/tagout) is a plus.
Skills:
  • Advanced diagnostic capability with electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to perform in-frame and out-of-frame engine overhauls, transmission rebuilds, clutch replacements, and emission system repairs.
  • Strong computer literacy with OEM diagnostic tools and service information systems.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and mentor junior techs.
