Job Description Job Description: Corporate Director of Human Resources Salary: $125K - $150K Location: Remote (Prefer Texas) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our organization as the Corporate Director of Human Resources. This pivotal role is responsible for shaping and executing HR strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. The successful candidate will drive talent management initiatives, foster organizational development, maintain compliance with employment regulations, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on all human capital matters.
As a strategic business partner, the Corporate Director of Human Resources will influence the organization's culture, enhance employee engagement, and lead the HR function to deliver value across all levels of the company.
Key Responsibilities - Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support the company's vision, mission, and goals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with business priorities.
- Lead workforce planning to ensure the organization remains agile and competitive.
- Talent Management
- Oversee talent acquisition, on boarding, and retention programs to build a high-performing workforce.
- Design and implement effective training, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Drive performance management processes to enhance employee productivity and growth.
- Organizational Development
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects company values.
- Identify opportunities for organizational improvement and lead change management efforts.
- Use data and analytics to assess organizational effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Compliance and Policy
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws, industry regulations, and corporate policies.
- Update and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with legal standards and best practices.
- Serve as the primary HR liaison for internal audits and external legal reviews.
- Leadership and Employee Relations
- Lead and mentor the HR team to deliver exceptional service and results.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
- Act as a champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.

Prior to joining Gecko Hospitality Mr. Bush served as General Manager, Regional General Manager, AGM, Food & Beverage Director, Regional Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Restaurants, Restaurant Manager, Beverage Manager and Director of Housekeeping with Marriott, Hilton, HEI and John Q. Hammons. These properties ranged from 105 to 1229 rooms located at airports, in the suburb and prestigious downtown locations with 4500-105,000 square feet of meeting space.
On many occasions, Mr. Bush has been recognized for his leadership accomplishments with sustainability while in Houston and volunteering with the Salvation Army, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Taping for the Blind and Helping a Hero Foundation.
Mr. Bush has been married to his wife Debra for 24 years and has two beautiful girls Xaja & Saxja. Jay is a die hard Oregon Duck fan as he grew up in Eugene and latched on to the Dallas Cowboys at an early age. He attended both Washington State University and the University of Oregon.
