As a Customer Service Associate, you will be the main point of contact for customers, including insurance carriers, employers, medical providers, and insured individuals. Your responsibilities will include handling incoming calls, assisting with inquiries, processing claims, and updating information within our system.
What You'll Do
Provide friendly and professional customer support in a call center environment
Assist callers with inquiries related to precertification services, provider network access, medical billing, and Workers' Compensation First Report of Injury (FROI)
Process claim intake and ensure accurate dissemination of information
Update claim demographics based on adjuster requests
Access various databases to retrieve necessary information
Collaborate with different departments to resolve customer inquiries efficiently
Handle urgent and complex calls with professionalism
Document all interactions in the call management system, ensuring accurate records
Meet individual and team goals to maintain service level agreements (SLAs)
Participate in quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure excellent service delivery
What We're Looking For
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work professionally with colleagues and contribute as a team player
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
Knowledge of NJ Auto/PIP insurance or provider/hospital medical billing is a plus
Qualifications
High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred
2+ years of customer service experience required
Excellent typing and computer skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
