Job Description

A nonprofit dedicated to empowering families is seeking a skilled Data & Reporting Manager to  support the reporting and evaluation of parent support programs across Colorado!

WHAT WE DO

Parents who want a better life for their child deserve access to the education, coaching and support needed to become a positive force in that child's educational and life success. Until all parents, regardless of economic circumstances, are empowered to be their child's first and most influential teacher, Parent Possible's work is not done.

We promote and oversee delivery of three proven parent engagement programs- PAT, HIPPY and Vroom–providing access and support, ensuring efficacy and impact, advocating, and collaborating with partners across the state and serving as a liaison between national leaders and local program implementers.

Parent Possible promotes and supports evidence-based, high-quality programs focused on parents of children from birth through kindergarten. Each program seeks to engage parents where they are – inspiring parent involvement, facilitating school readiness, and strengthening opportunities for children to achieve their full potential.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Parent Possible is seeking a Data & Reporting Manager to support the reporting and evaluation efforts of our Parents as Teachers (PAT) and Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) programs and related initiatives. The work involves direct support of our PAT and HIPPY program sites across the state in areas of data collection and documentation, while also playing a critical role cleaning, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting on the data collected. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, clear communication, and an interest in working with data, along with a passion for our mission of supporting communities and families. This position reports to the Director of Reporting & Evaluation.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Gather, clean, analyze, and compile data required for semi-annual reporting to state and federal funders.
  • Ensure data collection and data entry practices at PAT and HIPPY sites meet reporting requirements through thorough checks of data entry into the shared database (Visit Tracker).
  • Complete monthly and quarterly program site and aggregate reports required by state and federal funders.
  • Manage all aspects of the biannual HIPPY US reporting process.
  • Compare and merge data from multiple sources in Excel to confirm accuracy of reports.
  • Communicate with diverse staff at program sites to resolve issues identified when compiling reports.
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with program sites to foster collaboration and trust.
  • Support overall program evaluation through data management, monitoring, analyses, and reporting on all data collection tools.
  • Monitor program site completion of evaluation tools and update relevant program staff as needed.
  • Provide input on evaluation plans of Parent Possible's programming.
  • Clean and process paper surveys administered by program sites.
  • Coordinate with staff and external consultants on the evaluation of the Enhanced Home Visiting project.
  • Perform and document procedures for data preparation, including data cleaning, standardization, and reporting.
  • Update data collection materials annually based on feedback from program sites and funder requirements.
  • Remain up to date on database changes, updates, and reports.
  • Help identify and troubleshoot data submission errors and database issues.
  • Build site capacity for data collection, reporting, and interpretation to improve program quality.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials on funder requirements and database use.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

  • Demonstrated experience in reporting and/or analyzing program data from direct service organization(s)
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to apply a holistic approach to data management.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience communicating complex requirements clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Formal education and/or background in statistics and experience using statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Stata.
  • Understand the reporting requirements of private, state and federal funders to compile accurate reports and support PAT and HIPPY program sites in meeting these requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Alchemer or other online survey platforms.
  • Comfort with working in a hybrid environment and ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Passion for data and data quality and understanding of how it can contribute to effective business operations.
  • High level of professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with relational databases and programming languages such as SQL or Python.
  • Bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish.

WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING

  • Starting salary range is $56,000-$61,500, commensurate with experience.
  • This is a salaried, full-time position with an excellent benefits package, including employer-paid health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, short- and long-term disability coverage, and IRA with 3% employer match from date of hire. Parent Possible also offers paid time off, paid alternating Fridays off, paid parental leave, and a paid holiday office closure from December 24th to January 1st.
  • Parent Possible is committed to professional development for all staff, including a dedicated professional development budget for each staff member and regular opportunities for training and coaching.
  • This is a hybrid work position with some work required in our downtown Denver office
  • All staff are awarded a remote work stipend on hire to support the setup of their home office.
  • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Finalists for the position will be asked to complete a brief data-related performance task.
