Position Overview:
We are seeking a Data Center Controls Engineer with 10+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing control systems for mission-critical data center infrastructure. This role focuses on developing software system architectures for power, cooling, and mechanical controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and overseeing vendors in deploying scalable control solutions. As a DC Controls Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop highly reliable telemetry and control solutions for large-scale data center operations. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement control system architectures for data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Lead software integration for control and monitoring systems, ensuring compliance with industry codes and safety standards.
Lead design, test, deployment, and maintenance of control solutions for new facilities.
Oversee external vendors, contractors, and consultants, ensuring high-quality deployment and maintenance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to align control systems with operational needs and efficiency goals.
Optimize telemetry and controllability to enhance scalability and automation in data center operations.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in control system architecture and implementation for large-scale data centers.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and compliance for mission-critical facility operations.
Proven expertise in automation and industrial control system protocols (e.g. BACnet, Modbus, OPC, SNMP, LON).
Hands-on experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI/SCADA systems.
Deep understanding of data center operations, infrastructure, and control system integration.
Ability to quickly develop and implement reliable control software.
Extensive experience in data center monitoring, HVAC, power, and mechanical system controls.
Track record of selecting, managing, and collaborating with external vendors and consultants.
Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, or a related field (advanced certifications preferred).
Preferred Skills:
15+ years of experience in control systems for global, large-scale data center operations.
Expertise in AI-driven automation and predictive analytics for control systems.
Familiarity with energy-efficient and sustainable control system designs.
Strong background in big data telemetry, analytics, and infrastructure monitoring.

The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
In addition to the salary range listed above, total compensation also includes generous equity and benefits.
