Senior Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / Paramedic - Acute Care Setting

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality direct patient care under supervision of licensed practitioners and RNs
• Perform specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice
• Provide comprehensive patient transport services utilizing advanced medical protocols
• Support activities of daily living and deliver comfort care to patients
• Maintain medical equipment and manage supply inventory
• Document patient care data and maintain accurate medical records
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards

Required Qualifications:

• Current Virginia State certification as EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current AHA BLS-HCP and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and transport

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in paramedic studies or related field
• National Registry EMT/Paramedic certification
• One year experience in emergency medical services
• PALS, PHTLS/BTLS, and Hazmat Awareness certifications
