We are seeking a Family Law Attorney who shares our passion for helping families and aligns with our values of integrity, compassion, and dedication to provide unreasonable hospitality to our clients. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of legal experience, with family law experience preferred but not required. The role: The Associate Attorney role involves consistently identifying clients’ legal needs, offering counsel, clarifying legal options, and adeptly representing them in courtroom settings and negotiations. Our top priorities are making sure clients feel fully supported and receive optimal, cost-effective legal assistance. You will be required to be independent in your work, but work collaboratively as a team player. What we offer: • 1200 Billable hours a year requirement • Eligibility for generous quarterly bonuses after 3-6 months of employment (Attorneys are paid 25% of all collected billable work above a specified threshold each quarter) • Partially subsidized health insurance through BCBS for employees only • Dental and vision insurance 100% company-paid for employee-only • Life insurance, long-term disability, and short-term disability 100% company-paid for employee • 401k match up to 4.5% • Ability to work remote/hybrid for an individual who possesses the experience to work independently • 11/12 paid holidays a year • Up to 4 weeks of PTO (Based on experience) • Engaging CLEs 100% company-paid • Flexibility to address your personal needs Responsibilities: • Draft petitions, motions, discovery, community property settlements, judgments, and all pleadings associated with family law matters • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trial, if needed • Knowledge of laws related to divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, domestic violence, and community property Qualifications: What we need from you: • Family Law experience preferred  • Must be licensed, active, and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar Association  • The ability to learn quickly • Experience with Dropbox, MS Office 365, and Clio, or ability to learn quickly  • Stellar writing skills – a writing sample will be required  • Willingness to be coached • A passion for empowering clients with information to make knowledgeable decisions • Commitment to meet 1200 hours a year billable hour requirements  • Ability to be first chair on 40-50 cases at all times • Ability to attend in-person for Court and effectively litigate • Ability to relate to individuals from diverse cultural, educational, ethnic, generational, and socioeconomic backgrounds to build relationships About Company: Magnolia Law is a fast-growing family law and estate planning firm serving Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
