Job Description

We are looking for a Freelance Graphic Designer with experience in socks and/or hosiery, for a fashion company in New York, NY. This position operates 5 days onsite in NYC Office.

Responsibilities:

Work with Design/Concept teams to establish graphic/pattern/color/trend direction and interpret into artwork appropriate for sock brands
Create and illustrate print, graphics and knit patterns using CAD tools
Update tech packs in PLM
Provide production ready artwork, in both print and electronic format, for internal and external partners
Research and create new trends in graphic design and production techniques.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Design or Graphic Design (or equivalent experience in Knitwear CAD Design
At least 3-5+ years of related print and pattern/graphic design experience
Expertise in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop required
Strong sense of color for the creation of color ways and the ability to match colors accurately
Ability to act as liaison between many departments: excellent communication and analytic skills
