Sea Fox Boat Company is a leading saltwater fishing boat manufacturer who is looking for a Supervisor for our Lamination department.
JOB SUMMARY The Lamination Supervisor will oversee departmental leads, and the quality of work performed by their area. The Lamination Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient manufacturing process in the Lamination area. This position
requires extensive knowledge of the lamination process and is responsible for adhering to the production schedule, ensuring quality, supervising employees as assigned and complying with all safety standards.
Experience in Infusion and LRTM are a big plus! You must have knowledge and experience (minimum 3 years) in supervising a lamination area or department in a boat manufacturing environment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Trains and manage production employees on assigned shift/line.
- Organizes, and oversees the daily workflow and assignments of the production shift/line.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Have a good understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production operations and machinery.
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when and where appropriate.
- Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices as well as Sea Fox mission/vision.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams and with multiple departments.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversees lamination and gel coat operations.
- Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise.
- Notifies maintenance department and relevant management of equipment problems.
- Ensures that employees comply with safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ensures department has appropriate staff to meet objectives and production schedules/deadlines.
- Inform production planning and relevant management of any issues or obstacles causing delays.
- Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality defects.
- Ensures any/all necessary paperwork is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
- Requires lifting, standing, kneeling, bending – getting in and out of boats up to 8 hours per day.
- Must be able to work in non-climate controlled environments.
