Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Acme Gridley/Multi-Spindle Set-Up and Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of automatic screw machines, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to company standards. This role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with precision measuring tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Acme Gridley and multi-spindle screw machines.
• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to ensure machine efficiency and product quality.
• Read and interpret part prints to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, indicators, and thread gauges.
• Maintain tooling and conduct preventative maintenance as required.
• Complete machine setups as necessary for production runs.
• Accurately document production data and maintain records.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating and setting up Acme Gridley and/or multi-spindle screw machines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Must have own tools.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and tooling adjustments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
• Knowledge of CNC operations (a plus but not required).
