Occupational Therapist Needed in Illinois! Seeking experienced school-based Occupational Therapists interested in working with Early Childhood students. 2024-2025 School Year

Location : Lindenhurst, IL

Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 32.5 to 40 hours per week

Contract follows the academic district calendar

Salary:

• $2,372.50 - $2,764.00 per week
• $500 Completion Bonus!!

Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess or be eligible for an Occupational Therapist License in the State of Illinois.
• 1+ years of relevant experience; experience in a school and/or pediatric setting(s) preferred.
• BLS/CPR Cert.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:

• Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
• Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
• Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
