Job Description

Summary

First United Methodist Church Montessori Preschool is looking for an experienced, nurturing and dedicated teacher to work with children ages 3,4, & 5 years old. (Primary age).

Duties

Love being with children.
Can create age - appropriate lesson plans that connect with the Montessori methods and philosophy.
Offering children support and help them to work independently, and in small groups.
Keep a clean, safe, organize, orderly, and a stimulate classroom environment.
Observing and documenting children's progress.
Share information to the parents about their children's development and collaborate with them about how they can help with their children's progress.
Set examples for children by displaying positive behavior and values, such as compassion, patience, and humility.
Be willing to attend workshops and conferences to maintain professional development.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in early childhood education, or ECE Credential.
Montessori Training.
