Position Overview
As the Product Development Manager, you'll oversee private label projects and special labeling requirements, ensuring seamless coordination and execution. Your role will involve streamlining processes, leading printer negotiations, managing label development, and serving as a key internal resource for label-related matters.
What You'll Do
Optimize Processes: Identify and evaluate opportunities with printers, substrates, and other resources to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Printer Negotiations: Lead discussions on artwork setup charges, printing costs, and storage fees.
Cost Management: Analyze label development and printing costs to maximize profitability.
Customer Communication: Keep clients informed about lead times, label status, revisions, and inventory costs.
Label Accuracy: Ensure all work orders and labels meet quality standards, including proofreading for spelling, grammar, and branding.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with Logistics, Sales, Purchasing, and Account Management teams to align timelines and meet customer requirements.
Project Tracking: Oversee the label development process, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery.
Training and Support: Develop training materials and guide team members on best practices.
Archive Maintenance: Collect and archive samples of printed labels and products for office use and exhibitions.
What You'll Bring
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Experience: 2-4 years in product development management within the CPG industry; international experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint).
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with pre-press, proofing systems, packaging substrates, and printing methods (e.g., flexo, rotogravure, litho).
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities. Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
Languages: Bilingual skills are a plus!

Salary: $66,500-$79,830 annually, based on experience.
