QA Test Engineer
Work Location – Plano TX 75075

Hours per Day - 8
Hours per Week - 40
Total Hours – contract initially up until 12/31/2025

Project - BSSe Transformation

• On-site 3 days per week (will be remote until the WFH order is lifted)
• Hackerank testing required.
• Manager needs candidates with skills in Core Java, Groovy, Cucumber, Maven, CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub, Spock, and API testing.
• Looking for a dedicated automation test engineer who can test backend applications that are API-driven, message-driven, and workflow-based.
• SDET experience is an added advantage

TOP SKILLS REQUIRED

• An Automation QA Engineer position requires hands-on coding experience.
• Scripting experience using Java or Groovy is a must.
• Prior experience in automating workflow testing is desirable.
• Hands on knowledge of Spock, JUnit, and Mockito frameworks is needed.
• Spock, Groovy, Java, Test automation for APIs and business workflow, Kafka, Microservcies, REST API’s.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in the software quality field, including prior hands-on automation quality engineering experience.
• Understanding of multi-tier web application architecture and micro-service technologies.
• Working knowledge of databases, with the ability to write basic SQL/NoSQL queries.

Skills and Experience

• Hands-on coding experience.
• Scripting experience using Java or Groovy is a must.
• Prior experience in automating workflow testing is desirable.
• Proficiency in Spock, JUnit, and Mockito frameworks.

Pay Range: $50 - $55/HR
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
