Are you looking for an exciting and meaningful career leading a team of investigators in the fight against workers’ compensation fraud? State Fund’s Special Investigation Unit (SIU) is looking for a Supervising Special Investigator I who has extensive workers’ compensation insurance experience and knowledge, with exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship building skills. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience in investigating various types of suspected workers ‘compensation fraud involving injured workers, employers and providers. Understanding of the criminal justice system and the California workers’ compensation system is critical.
The incumbent will work closely with other internal State Fund business partners and stakeholders along with external partners including various local and state law enforcement agencies, and other industry Special Investigations Units.
Under the direction of the Senior Managers and Senior Vice President of SIU, the Supervising Special Investigator I (Non-Peace Officer) will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Special Investigators in the investigation of suspected workers’ compensation fraud.
