Job Description

We have an exciting long-term opportunity for a Technical Product Owner with experience in Banner and Degree Works to join a dynamic team in a fully remote position. This role offers a chance to make an impact on projects that optimize student experiences in the higher education space.

Position Type: Contract (6 months remote, then 4 days/week on-site in Columbia, MD after permanent conversion)
Pay Rate: $50-$55/hr

Important Note: This is not a technical project management role. The ideal candidate should have experience managing HR or procurement projects and a strong background as a Technical Product Owner.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and contribute to projects focused on auto registration, financial aid optimization, and degree planning, aimed at improving the student experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the success and smooth execution of initiatives.
Utilize Banner AR (Accounts Receivable) and other financial aid systems to optimize and streamline processes.
Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback to enhance solutions and deliver on project goals.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner with Ellucian Banner, particularly in the AR (Accounts Receivable) module and Degree Works (registration and degree planning).
Familiarity with the educational technology space is a plus.
At least 5 years of relevant experience managing technical product ownership.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships across various teams.
Passionate and proactive, with the ability to effectively engage with business stakeholders and contribute to project success.

Additional Information:

Work Environment: Remote for the initial 6-month contract, with the expectation of transitioning to 4 days per week on-site in Columbia, MD after permanent hire.
Required: This position requires candidates to work directly with the hiring organization on a W2 basis. No agencies, please.
