Job Description

We are excited to offer a long-term opportunity for a Technical Product Owner with expertise in Ellucian Banner and Degree Works to join our dynamic team. This role is primarily remote, with an exciting opportunity to transition to a hybrid work schedule after contract completion.

Pay Rate: $50 - $55 per hour

Contract Duration: Initial 6-month contract (Remote), transitioning to a hybrid role (4 days onsite per week) after permanent conversion. Location: Columbia, MD.

About the Role:

As a Technical Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing Banner's Accounts Receivable (AR) module and Degree Works (degree planning). You will be involved in a variety of exciting projects aimed at improving the student experience, focusing on areas such as auto-registration, financial aid optimization, and degree planning.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in higher education technology and financial aid systems to make a significant impact. While the role does require technical expertise, it is distinct from a typical technical project management position and is ideal for someone with experience managing HR or procurement projects in a technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and collaborate on auto-registration, financial aid optimization, and degree planning initiatives.
Work closely with stakeholders to streamline and improve the student experience, particularly around financial aid processes.
Utilize Banner AR (Accounts Receivable) and other financial aid systems to enhance project outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring project goals are met on time and with high quality.
Maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude, and foster strong relationships with internal teams and business partners.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner with a focus on Ellucian Banner (especially in registration and degree planning modules) and Degree Works.
Experience with financial aid systems, particularly Banner AR (Accounts Receivable).
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a technical product management or related role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
Enthusiasm and passion for improving the student experience through innovative technology solutions.
