Mission:

As the Chief Technology Officer, your mission is to build and lead a world-class technology team that delivers the fastest, most secure, and maintainable products with best-in-class customer satisfaction. You will develop and execute a strategic technology roadmap that enables contractors to do the work of two people in half the time using automation & AI while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leadership & Strategy:
  
   
  • Lead and inspire the engineering team to execute against a 3-year technology roadmap.
  • Develop a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
  • Ensure best-in-class system uptime (99.99%) and an industry-leading incident response time (<30 minutes).
  • Foster a strong security culture and eliminate critical/high security vulnerabilities (0 tolerance policy).
• Architecting & Engineering Excellence:
  
   
  • Own the software architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Oversee the refactor plan to reduce tech debt and consolidate duplicate code within 18 months.
  • Instill a culture of continuous integration & deployment, increasing deployment frequency while reducing failure rates.
  • Stay ahead of AI/ML trends and create a roadmap to leverage them for product and engineering efficiencies.
• Process & Performance Optimization:
  
   
  • Improve engineering processes to deliver customer value faster while maintaining reliability and security.
  • Reduce change failure rates in production to 0% while maintaining 100% predictability in scoping to on-time delivery.
  • Ensure the highest quality assurance standards, minimizing in-production regressions through Test-Driven Development.
• Talent & Culture Development:
  
   
  • Assess engineering talent, align roles, provide training, and scale the team as needed.
  • Reinforce proactive learning with regular training on best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Build an engineering culture where top talent thrives, contributing to a 40+ eNPS score.
• Technology Roadmap & AI Strategy:
  
   
  • Develop a 3-year roadmap for software, infrastructure, data, and security.
  • Identify AI/ML opportunities and implement a roadmap to leverage automation.
  • Continuously prototype emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  
   
  • Partner with the Product team to ensure a balance between feature delivery and technical sustainability.
  • Collaborate with GTM teams to support customer success and product adoption.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors, investors, and executive team to align technology strategy with company growth.
