POSITION PURPOSE:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for supervising staff in monthly accounting closes which include monthly workpapers and reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Monitoring the cash position for all entities and completion of monthly cash position analysis.
Assist on Processing ACH and Wires through bank
Preparation of cash forecasts for all entities
Perform general accounting tasks, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with month end and year end closing procedures.
Collaborate with on month end close.
Assists with year-end audit; gathers necessary information and documents to perform annual audit.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles and research accounting principles, when applicable.
Assist with monthly reporting package.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Three to Six years of accounting or related experience (Hotel experience is a preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent organization and time management
Competency in Microsoft applications specifically Microsoft Excel
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Experience Required: Prefer 3-5 years accounting or related experience.
Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Company standards.
